I recently became interested in my family history when I was contacted by a distant relative.  His great-great-great grandfather was the same as mine, which makes him about as distant as you can probably get.  I am only just starting to compile geneology information, so that will get posted later.  I will also post photo's of family heirlooms.  We are in posession of a replica of a medal that was awarded a distant relative in a war in the late 1600's, the musket that my great-great grandfather carried in the Cival War (1816 musket with conversion), his discharge document, various photos, and other stuff.
